Welcome to recoveringintelligence.com! This is totally new to me, so it's scary and exciting. In 1973 I started to learn about addiction and recovery in Youngstown, OH, Baltimore, MD and finally San Francisco, CA. Who could have guessed it would lead to this. I hope that this blog will be a vehicle for you to connect with resources, especially others who are also open and curious, and who want to continue to grow and thrive in their recovery and their lives. Fellowship is the most important resource for successful recovery. Fellowship with like-minded people that you like is the best. In addition, there are so many resources people in recovery don't know about. One of those resources is the field of Positive Psychology, lead by Martin Seligman at University of Pennsylvania. Another is the field of Social-Emotional Intelligence lead by Daniel Goleman . We encourage you to contribute knowledge, experiences, tools, strategies, or your questions. What does being intelligent in your recovery mean to you? What would you like to find out about fully living your recovery and your life? Together, we can learn, and grow.

Warmly, Tom
